What Voters Should Know Before Election Day
Dear Fellow Marion County Republicans,
As Chairman of the Marion County Republican Party, one of my responsibilities is making sure our voters have accurate information heading into an election. This is important especially when something doesn't add up.
You may have seen Dina Carroll campaigning as a write-in candidate this cycle. On several occasions she refers to herself as a "conservative". Her campaign website, campaign materials, and signage, including the use of solid red, a color closely associated with the Republican Party, all convey that same message to voters.
Before you cast your vote, we believe you deserve to know what our research turned up.
What We Found
Publicly available voting records were reviewed for Ms. Carroll. What we found was a voting history inconsistent with the Conservative values her campaign is presenting: (see attached images)
● Public records show that she has not voted in a Republican primary in 10 years.
● She did not vote in this year's Primary or Primary Runoff.
● In 2024, she voted in the Democrat primary.
● Just recently, Ms. Carroll encouraged people to attend a Democrat Party voter registration event.
We're not presenting speculation. These are matters of public record, and we encourage every voter to verify them independently through the Marion County Elections Office.
A Note on "Independent," Too
Ms. Carroll has also stated several times that she is running as an "Independent". That's not accurate either. Independent candidates filed for this election in November/December 2025, just like Republican and Democrat candidates did. Ms. Carroll did not file during that window. She is on the ballot as a "write-in" candidate. That is a distinction that matters, and one voters should be clear on.
It's also worth pointing out: under Texas law, voting in a political party's primary establishes affiliation with that party. Ms. Carroll's 2024 vote in the Democrat primary affiliated her with the Democrat Party under Texas Election Code §162.003; the opposite of what an independent voter does.
Why This Matters
Marion County is a Republican county because our voters have consistently shown up and chosen candidates who reflect their values. When someone's campaign presents one image while the record tells a different story, that's worth knowing before Election Day, not after.
We're not telling you how to vote. We're telling you what we found, so you can make an informed decision. One of my responsibilities as Chairman is to educate voters. That is a campaign promise I made in 2024 and 2026, and it is a policy that I will continue to maintain as long as I am Chairman.
What You Can Do
● Review the records yourself at the Marion County Elections Office.
● Share this information with fellow Republican voters in Marion County.
● Vote on November 3, Early Voting Oct 19-30, with full knowledge of who's actually on your ballot.
Thank you for staying engaged and holding your local elections to a high standard.
In Service To Marion County Republicans,
Hunter Bonner - Chairman
