Call To Action: Republicans Need To Turn Out

Marion County Republicans, this is the moment that counts.
Across Texas, Republicans are trailing in early voting turnout this election. One analysis of the first five days of early voting found that voters with a history of voting in Democratic primaries had cast slightly more ballots than voters with a Republican primary history. Veteran analysts say they can't remember that ever happening before. That should get every one of us out of our chairs.
This didn't happen by accident. For several election cycles, Democrats and their allied groups have been working to make inroads into East Texas, hoping to turn our rural communities purple, or even blue. They are organized, they are funded, and they are showing up. We cannot allow that to happen here.
The choice in front of us is clear. Today's Democratic Party supports abortion up to and including the third trimester, gender reassignment for children, drag queen story hours in our public libraries, open borders, heavy economic regulation, high taxes, and silencing conservative organizations.
Those are not Marion County values.
Marion County voters have already said that the Republican way is what's best for our county, our state, and our nation. Every county office is Republican-led, save one held by an Independent. And Marion County carries ZERO BOND DEBT, something most counties in Texas can't say. That's what conservative leadership looks like, and it's worth protecting. President Ronald Reagan said the following in a famous speech: "You and I have a rendezvous with destiny.
We'll preserve for our children this, the last best hope of man on earth, or we'll sentence them to take the last step into a thousand years of darkness."
As a husband, and a father of two wonderful children, I refuse to turn our county, state, and nation over to darkness. I am issuing the final rally call to the polls. Marion County Republicans cannot sit this one out. There is too much at stake, and we need every player in the game.
