Organization Update and Upcoming Elections
Hello Marion County Republicans!
On July 21, 2026, the Marion County GOP conducted it's statutory Organizational Meeting. This is required under Texas Election Code and the Republican Party of Texas rules. Our County Chairman was sworn in, as well as our Precinct Chairs. We did have two appointments for vacant chair positions. Michelle Ready for Precinct 1, and Pam Baker for Precinct 8. That only leaves vacancies for Precincts 6-7, 9-10.
Most importantly our bylaws were adopted, which govern how our local GOP operates. We encourage everyone to read it.
The CEC unanimously passed it's first resolution of the new biennium by approving of Marion County joining into a groundwater conservation district in order to protect our natural resources. This is keeping in line with our prior actions in the previous term when we passed a resolution opposing any water rights sale from Lake O' The Pines.
We also want to take the opportunity to inform Marion County Republicans, that the Democrats are coming in full force for this mid-term election. Some are even masquerading as Republicans in local elections.
This is why it is "all hands on deck" for the November elections.
Check your voter registration here to make sure you are current. If you have moved within the county, you need to update your voter registration to avoid any issues at the polls.
