There will be a resolution to authorize the Jefferson PD to participate in the 287g program.

This program is about ICE working in cooperation with local law enforcement to ensure that our immigration laws are enforced. This is a Republican Party principle and part of our platform, which is standing for the rule of law. Voters in 2024 voted nationwide to address the decades long out of control illegal immigration crisis.

Donald Trump and those he has appointed in ICE and Homeland Security have been carrying out this mandate from the American people.

We encourage the public to attend this council meeting to make your voices heard during public comment and asking that council vote FOR the resolution for the Jefferson PD to take part in the 287g program.
